Mahir Hafizovic graduated from the Mechanical Engineering program, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, International University of Sarajevo (IUS), with a master’s degree, specializing in environmental engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the IUS. His research is focused on numerical simulations of fluid flow and heat transfer, with particular emphasis on urban air quality and pollutant dispersion.

His professional experience includes environmental assessment and modelling across a range of engineering applications, with particular focus on air quality, pollutant and odour dispersion, ventilation and HVAC systems in indoor and built environments, thermal management in energy systems, and heat transfer processes in both industrial and infrastructure contexts.

His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, turbulence modelling, and environmental flows, with applications in air quality and pollution control. He has presented his work at international conferences and published in high-impact scientific journals, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practical solutions in fluid flow, heat transfer, and environmental engineering.
